West Hollywood – or WeHo as its affectionately known – is a hub for art, culture, shopping, nightlife, food, and drink. Bordered by Beverley Hills and Hollywood, this vibrant neighborhood is home to some of the most legendary spots in Los Angeles, meaning it’s a must-visit if you’re in the area.

Want to explore like a local? We’re here to help! Below is a list of the top 5 things to see, do, and drink during your stay at our 850 Hotel.

Have a laugh at the Comedy Store or the Laugh Factory

Along with Chicago and New York City, Los Angeles is one of the best cities in North America to catch a standup comedy show. And, if LA is a funny city, the Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory are class clowns.

These comedy joints have hosted all of the biggest names in comedy, from Dave Chappelle and Jerry Seinfeld to Robin Williams and Jim Carrey. While you might not catch any of the above on stage during your stay at the Jeffrey Hotel in West Hollywood or other nearby accommodation, you can bet your bottom dollar that whoever hits the stage will be worthy of a giggle. Check out their calendar of events here and make sure you book tickets in advance!

Grab a Drink on Santa Monica Boulevard

Santa Monica Boulevard has been a go-to place for a good time for decades. Don’t believe us? Turn up Sheryl Crow’s 1993 hit ‘All I Wanna Do’ and listen closely. If the famous country singer wasn’t enough to convince you, we’re here to tell you once and for all: this strip that spans from West Hollywood to Santa Monica Pier is a haven for fun.

From eclectic restaurants to LGBTQ+ friendly bars, you’ll find everything you need for a memorable afternoon or night out.

Get Inspired at the Pacific Design Center

Located on Melrose Avenue and just around the corner from San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, the Pacific Design Center is a decorator’s dream. Even if you aren’t a fan of interiors, this is a great place to window shop. And, with over 1,600,000 square feet of space, you better bring your walking shoes!

The sprawling campus (which has just celebrated its 40th birthday!) also hosts a great program of events. Check out their website for everything that’s planned for the next few months and plan your trip accordingly.

Meet Your Celebrity Crush

We couldn’t put together a list of the best things to do in WeHo without mentioning what draws in many people in the first place – celebrity spotting.

While we can’t guarantee that you’ll meet your celebrity crush, we can say with confidence that you’ll find A-Listers strolling around Sunset Boulevard morning, noon and night, meaning if catching a glimpse of your favorite star is at the top of your to-do list, you have even more reason to spend some time in this funky LA hotspot.

See you there!
